Meet Dates & Info

8th May 2022 Meet (Covid rules still apply)

Hey every fur hope you’ve all had a great Easter/stuff your muzzle with far too much chocolate. Almost a week now until the next meet (Sunday 8th May), though the Easter bunny won’t be there I’m sure there will be other bunnies around. So stop hiding and get all your fur brushed or scales polished ready for the meet. Hope to see you all there!

The Venue

We meet at the Resolution, we normally meet upstairs in the raised area. However, we may have to sit downstairs again depending on their staffing and if they are able to keep both open.

The Schedule

  • 11:35-11:55:- Meetup at the bus station for those who want to speak to the committee first or cannot find the Resolution (please go to the Resolution straight away at 12:00 if you know where we meet to avoid large crowds)
  • 12:00-14:00:- Food and socialising, along with catching up (Resolution)
  • 14:00-14:45:- games and socialising
  • 14:45-15:15:- fursuit walk (weather and suiters permitting)
  • 15:15-17:00:- more socialising and games
  • 17:00:- Meet officially ends

Covid Safety Rules

  • If you currently have symptoms or a positive test please do not attend
  • You will be required to bring a vaccine card/NHS app with both dosages given
  • If you have a valid medical reason you cannot have the vaccine be careful attending
  • If you have a valid medical reason please take a test the day before attending
  • Medical conditions don’t include: conspiracy theories, just not wanting to have it, etc.
  • Please wear masks if meeting at the bus station or on the walk
  • Please limit physical contact between members
  • Given that some of our members have pre-existing conditions, knowingly breaking covid rules may result in being sent home or permanently banned from future meets

Hey furs, we hope you’re are all doing well. Things seem to be getting back on track for us despite it being a busy time for all of us. So let’s get straight to the schedule!

Schedule

11:30-12:00 meet at Middlesbrough Bus Station

12:00-14:30 Games and socialising at The resolution

14:30-15:30 Fursuit walk (Suiters please contact a committee member if attending)

15:30-17:00 more games, drawing and socialising

17:00 End of meet

Artist of the month News

May Artist of the Month 2018: Tatyana(AriesRedLo)

Hey furs, it’s May and we hope you’re doing well. For the month of May we bring you ?HORSES? with Tatyana(AriesRedLo). Tatyana is a Russian artist who started out drawing exclusively horses but she has started to branch out into the anthro market in recent years. Her work is primarily digital but has a traditional painterly aesthetic with vibrant and dramatic backgrounds.

“My name is Tatiana, I’m from Russia and I’m 21 (it’s tomorrow). I’m drawing on a graphics tablet since 2011. But, from 2011 to 2016 I painted only horses! Therefore, it is still very difficult for me to draw an anthro, but I try to improve my skills. I can not say if I have a certain style, I think it is only at the stage of formation, since I still have a lot to learn. For me, the main thing in drawing is the atmosphere. Therefore, my favorite artists are Wildering and OKITHAU. My inspiration comes from beauty of nature and from communication with animals, especially from horses :D” – Tatyana

13th May Meet

Hey furs,

We hope you’re doing well, we know this time of year is a busy one with conventions and the like so we’re keeping it simple. The drawing and coffee meet might not be running this month but we’ll update you when we know if Neptune will be free to run it.

13th May Traditional Meet Schedule

11:30 Meet at Middlesbrough Bus Station.

12:00 Head to Resolution.

13:00 – 14:30 games and socialising

14:30 – 15:45 Fursuit walk (optional, usually at least one committee member will remain at the pub).

17:00 Meet ends at Resolution.

May Artist of the Month: Faruku

May’s Artist of the Month

Hey, furs! For the month of May, the Middlesfur committee has chosen Faruku as our Artist of the Month! Faruku is a multi-talented artist that produces work both digitally and traditionally along with her stunning fursuits. She is a devoted artist who started growing in popularity with her Lion King artwork and has become a force to be reconded with. Faruku can be found at many conventions, including this month at Confuzzled, she is usually very easy to find in the dealer’s den at the two tables behind the crowd for fursuit raffle tickets. Both her toony and realistic airbrushed fursuits are true works of art, and we at Middlesfur hope that you enjoy her work as much as we do.

I’ve been making costume for around 7 years now, from realism to toony we cover everything you need :) I have a background in illustration and animation, and got into costumes through cosplay, we’ve now been making fursuits for fair few years and have expanded into an office location in ye olde North”

Hey furs,

We hope you are all doing well, as you know we don’t usually have a May meet. However, as the dates line up so the meet is earlier in the month we will be having one! We have the same schedule:
11:30: Meet at Middlesbrough Bus Station.

14:00-15:15: Fursuit walk (optional, usually at least one committee member will remain at the pub).
17:00: Meet ends at Resolution.
