April Artist of the Moth 2018: GeeWolf

Hey furs, as the snow fades away and the rains start to bring in the spring, we bring you our April Artist of the month, GeeWolf. GeeWolf is a up and coming digital artist and a studying architecture at university. His paint like style, with energetic posing and expression add extra character to his subjects. A long with his use of shadow and perspective, it all comes together to create an appealing style sure to grab attention.

“My favorite thing about drawing is capturing or creating personalities. Drawing anything without a face is extremely boring for me :) I started drawing furry stuff at the beginning of 2017. This was also the first time i got my hands on a graphic tablet. Probably the biggest influence on my style is that i’m still learning, and that i like going for dynamic and realistic lighting. As for inspirations, i take them from absolutely anywhere, but if i had to pick my favorite furry artist, i’d pick Caraid :)”-GeeWolf

Artist of the Month Stefi Heartlilly

Hey furs, we at Middlesfur would like to introduce you to new artists in the furry community. So at the start of every month, we are going to highlight an artist that we appreciate.

For the month of April our chair Neptune has chosen Stefi Heartlilly! Neptune has purchased quite a few of Heartlilly’s prints along with commissioning pieces of artwork from her. Heartlilly works both digitally and traditionally and has a distinct watercolour art style.

“I enjoy drawing anthropomorphized deities and animals, playing with personifications. Often using animal features to express a characters feelings and experiences, or just for fun! I love to design fantasy characters from fantasy realms, and have found various ‘online’ societies to be inviting of my work. Most of my commissions currently come from these societies of escapism. In the last few years i traveled to various geek/fantasy conventions all over the UK to sell and promote my work. My fan base has gradually built up around my Romantic feminism style, which is often absent in game/fandom conventions largely attended by men.” – Stefi Heartlilly’s about page.

(Some of the commissions Heartlilly has done for Neptune)

Middlesfur Mini-meet 10th April

Well hello everyone, it has come to that time of month once again where we all meet up fur fun and games (see what I did there?!), enjoying the atmosphere at our wonderful Coffee House venue where food and drink is readily available! We ask you refrain from bringing your own snacks etc., this would be awfully unfair on our wonderful host Laura, as she willingly gives the venue for free and entirely to ourselves! :D

We are hoping to plan a lovely fursuit walk to begin in a few months times, however we would love to have input on where you would like to walk and any insecurities you may have as we want this walk to be fun and enjoyable for you! Please feel free to discuss this at the meet with your fellow community, we don’t bite!

The venue is definitely worth coming along to with it’s relaxed and social atmosphere, with wonderful hosts Laura and Clare and can be found here:

Anywho, here is our plans for the day:

12:00: Leave the train station to walk to the venue (TP Coffee House and Cafe Ltd) where the meet will commense, games and such will be played and there is a gallery if you wish to inspire yourself with beautiful artwork. Remember to order lots of delicious treats and refreshments! (Sorry to plug it again but there has been a decline in purchase of produce.)
17:00: The meet will come to a close, feel free to move onto another venue with your fellow furs, socialising is always important!

Any questions then feel free to ask us (your ever supporting commitee) over at :
