10 Years Anni-fur-sary meet 10th September 2023

Hi furs,

Well at long last, here we are, ten years of Middlesfur. This September is the anniversary meet! It’s been a long ride, but a very enjoyable one. We hope as many of our members old and new have the opportunity to join us for this celebration. We have a pub quiz planned, karaoke, bowling, and go-carting! Most of all this is a celebration of the furry spirit and community we have built together. There’ll be a meet at the bus station from 11:30am and then on to the Isaac’s at 12:00. A quiz will take place at 13:30. If suiters are present, we will aim for a fur walk at 15:00, with a committee member staying behind at the pub if anyone wants to stay. Eventually we will move to level X, for bowling, karaoke, and go-karting. We hope to make it a fun day for all! Thank you all who have attended in the past and welcome to all newcomers. We hope to continue the mini-meet for as long as possible. With your support, we can make this happen! Happy birthday Middlesfur! Let’s party!

Middlesfur committee,

Neptune, Spirit, Dust, Zimbe, and Sarah.

After Party

13th August 2023

Hey furs, hope you’re all doing well with this crazy weather. Some news sites are saying we’ll be back in the 30s by the meet, if it is warm remember to be safe on the walk. If a suiter needs to de-head that is perfectly fine, we don’t need anyone being a hero. Given the success of Level-X bowling, go-carting, and karaoke, we’re going to continue going for the time being.

9th July 2023

Hey furs, I hope you’re all staying safe in the heat, according to the news July is going to be hotter. For our fursuiters we’ll be bringing water, but we definitely recommend being sensible if you’re too hot don’t be a hero! For those of you who went to LevelX you’ll know how much of a great time we had, fursuit bowling, and even the Committee doing 2 hours of Karaoke in the private booth! (I know right, such cringe). Anyway, we’re going black to levelX, for those of you who don’t know, LevelX has: VR, crazy golf, bowling, arcade machines, karaoke, go-karting, darts, and more! That doesn’t mean we’re not going to have our usual fursuit walk(weather permitting) games, etc., and congratulations to the winners of last month’s pub quiz!

9-Year Anniversary Meet 9th October (Reschedule)

Well hello to all our amazing furs, we sure hope that you all are doing well. Yes, you read that right, it’s been 9 whole years since Middlesfur was founded! Looking back throughout the years, it has certainly been a wild ride and a lot of things have changed. In our first few years, things were tough, not knowing if anyone will attend, and also the venue may have decided to not open without telling us. After that things slowly grew as word got around. We had to change venues multiple times, changing the meet day to avoid conflicts with other meets, and Neptune being woken up at 4 am to be told that our logo was infringing copyright. We soldiered on though, designed our new and better logo, and continued to grow. Recently we had to adapt to online meets, and due to the Covid times, we had to hide in our homes. This was hard for not only us, but also you lovely members. Middlesfur became an important time in our lives and it was frustrating to not be able to see each other, but we survived and came out the other side. We’ve made a lot of good friends along the way, some moved away or had to stop coming, but we appreciate you all for making Middlesfur. From all of the Middlesfur committee, we thank you for making Middlesfur what it is today and we can’t wait for what the future holds.

For our anniversary, we’re going to have a pub quiz to celebrate and give back to you, our loving members. As with every year, it’ll be free to enter and will have prize support. We will also be having games and of course, the fursuit walk, weather and suiters permitting. We hope to see you there!

10th July 2022 Meet (Covid rules still apply)

Only a week to go until the meet! (Sunday 10th) hopefully, the weather stays alright considering it’s either been roasting or very wet… place your bets on what it’s gonna be like. On another note, as some of you guys know we had a little issue with the venue at the last meet. The plan is still to meet at the bus station then at 12 head to Lloyd’s but if that fails we may end up at Issacs again. We will keep you guys informed.
