Meet Dates & Info News

13th August 2023

Hey furs, hope you’re all doing well with this crazy weather. Some news sites are saying we’ll be back in the 30s by the meet, if it is warm remember to be safe on the walk. If a suiter needs to de-head that is perfectly fine, we don’t need anyone being a hero. Given the success of Level-X bowling, go-carting, and karaoke, we’re going to continue going for the time being.

The Schedule

  • 11:35-11:50:- Meetup at the bus station for those who want to speak to the committee first or cannot find The Isaac Wilson (please go to Isaac’s straight away at 12:00 if you know where we meet to avoid large crowds)
  • 12:00-14:00:- Food and socialising, along with catching up (The Isaac Wilson)
  • 14:00-14:45:- games and socialising
  • 14:45-15:15:- fursuit walk (weather and suiters permitting)
  • 15:15-17:00:- more socialising and games
  • 17:00:- Meet officially ends, head to Level-X for go-carting, karaoke etc.

14th August 2022

Heya furs, the sun is finally cooling down and we hope you all coped well during the hottest day on record. Shout out to our wonderful suiters who dared bear the heat, we took plenty of breaks and did regular check-ins with the suiters to make sure they were safe. It was also nice to see new and old faces at the last meet. Fun fact for the 14th of August for all you scalies is it’s world Lizard Day! We hope to see you all again this month and feel free to contact a committee member for more information.

The Venue

We meet at the Resolution, we normally meet upstairs in the raised area. However, we may have to sit downstairs again depending on their staffing and if they are able to keep both open.

The Schedule

  • 11:35-11:55:- Meetup at the bus station for those who want to speak to the committee first or cannot find the Resolution (please go to the Resolution straight away at 12:00 if you know where we meet to avoid large crowds)
  • 12:00-14:00:- Food and socialising, along with catching up (Resolution)
  • 14:00-14:45:- games and socialising
  • 14:45-15:15:- fursuit walk (weather and suiters permitting)
  • 15:15-17:00:- more socialising and games

Covid Safety Rules

  • If you currently have symptoms or a positive test please do not attend
  • You will be required to bring a vaccine card/NHS app with both dosages given
  • If you have a valid medical reason you cannot have the vaccine be careful attending
  • If you have a valid medical reason please take a test the day before attending
  • Medical conditions don’t include: conspiracy theories, just not wanting to have it, etc.
  • Please wear masks if meeting at the bus station or on the walk
  • Please limit physical contact between members
  • Given that some of our members have pre-existing conditions, knowingly breaking covid rules may result in being sent home or permanently banned from future meets

08th August 2021 (Discord)

Hey furs, we all hope that you’re all doing ok as the heatwave cools down. Unfortunately, the title isn’t a mistake, this month we are still having a Discord meet due to Covid. The committee is constantly reassessing the situation and is prioritising the safety of our members, as we’ve said before we want to meet up as much as you do but we have to be safe.

We’ll have games, memes, and chats on Discord from 12:00-17:00 and will update you on any changes as more information comes to light.

Hey furs, summers still raging strong and the heat doesn’t seem to be going away. and neither are the furs of Middlesbrough. It seems that despite everything that goes on we always have each other’s backs. Not much else to say this month so let’s go to the schedule.

12:00-14:30 Games and socialising at The resolution

14:30-15:30 Fursuit walk (Suiters please contact a committee member if attending)

15:30-17:00 more games, drawing and socialising

Artist of the month News

August Artist of the Month 2018: Kite

Hey furs, it’s August and it’s time for our next Artist of the Month, Kite! Kite’s style uses a combination of pose, angle and perspective to create energetic scenes. Her work is action-packed and expressive, telling a story bringing the subjects to life. Also, the use of vivid colours only enhance the fun of her work and overall Kite’s style showcases how she is willing to push herself by not resorting to simple posing and backgrounds to tell the story she wants to tell.

A word from Kite

“Hi everyone. My name’s Kite. I’m 24 years old, a black fox from the UK. I first got into the fandom around 2008/2009. Back then, I’d seen some anthropomorphic drawings and the like on DeviantArt and was really into Sonic at the time when I discovered there was a whole fandom around the idea.

I’ve been into art since I was about 10 years old. When I was a kid, I thought my drawing skills sucked and it took winning a school competition to realise I was actually really good at this and really enjoyed it. From there, I just kept developing my art, working as hard as I could to reach my goals. Despite my secondary school screwing up and not giving me art class for my GCSEs, I managed to push through and went on to study Video Games Art and Design in University which really propelled my art skills by learning from those who had so much talent.

As for inspirations that helped me figure out what the heck I’m doing, I’d have to go with Van Gogh, Falvie, JMW Turner and recently Oselotti.” -Kite

12th August Traditional Meet

Hey furs, we hope you are doing well and are finding ways to keep cool in this deadly heat! Just so you know the meet after this one is our 5-year anniversary! so we would love you to attend if you can. However, let us get on with talking about this meet. We are having our usual traditional meet, with games and what not and the fursuit walk for those who are up for it. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE BRINGING A SUIT SO WE CAN HAVE BOTTLED WATER READY FOR YOU!!!

Middlesfur Meet 13th August

Hey furs,

Hope you’ve all had a great summer, I’m personally enjoying the colder weather – Neptune, this month we are having our usual mix of games and fursuit walk. Also, we now have a Code of Conduct we ask you to follow, feel free to comment or contact a committee member if you have any questions. Hope to see you there ?

Middlesfur 14th August mini-meet

Heya furs!,

we’re back at the coffee house and also to our regular schedule so don’t forget your fursuits. I know a few of you furs have been asking for new and different games, so if you have any ideas of what you want to play, tell us and we’ll see what we can do. If you have any games you want to bring that is great! bring them down.

11:30 we meet at Middlesbrough train station to gather everyone up.

12:00 we head to TP Coffee House and Cafe
14:00 those of us who want to go for the fursuit walk will head out
15:15 we’ll head back to the cafe
17:00 the meet ends :(

As always we ask that you bring no outside food and drink into the venue as we get the whole venue for free. Food and drink will be available and if you have any dietary needs message us before hand and we’ll try to accommodate.
